Lightico is proud to announce that it is to undertake an extensive 12-week trial of CleanLight panels in partnership with The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The trail is to be conducted at the Mount Vernon Hospital in Northwood, northwest London.
Working with the Trust’s Estates, Infection Control and Clinical teams, Lightico will undertake air sampling in 2 wards throughout February and March to supply a benchmark of existing air quality before installing CleanLight panels. The tests will be repeated after the panels have been installed to supply a before and after comparison.
Lightico’s Sales Director, Andy Mosedale, said, “This is by far the most extensive trail we have undertaken and in working closely with the Trust’s Estates and Infection Control teams we feel confident The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the wider NHS will benefit from the data generated.”
Lightico will use their tried and tested method for air quality sampling to capture airborne bacteria present in the wards. Using the 1/1/1 Method which places agar filled petri dishes at least 1m from the floor, 1m from the wall for 1 hour the number of live bacteria colonies can be calculated per m3 of air. This supplies an assessment of both the air quality and the effectiveness of ventilation in the space.
